Camping at Assateague with the Family

Brian and I have camped at Assateague Island during Memorial Day Weekend for the past 4 years. This year we celebrated with 17 campers and visits from friends and family who were staying in near by Ocean City. I must say that camping on 3 sites with 17 people is definately crazy! We had a great time and it was wonderful to spend time with our family and friends!

Time with Auntie Jessica

During our trip home, Eli and I spent an afternoon together while Heather ran some errands. This little man is so much fun! We hung out, ate some sweet potatoes and he even showed me a couple of his latest tricks he has learned since I have been gone. We didn't take a nap because we were having too much fun!
Hi Aunt Jessica, you are the best baby sitter in the world!
One of his new tricks, rolling over! - He has since mastered this and is getting ready to walk :)

Meeting Uncle Brian

Saturday afternoon Brian and I went to my sisters for a cookout. We had a great time! Eli met Brian for the first time.
Nice to meet you Uncle Brian

It is really cute to watch Eli in his car. He loves it! Right now his legs don't touch the ground for him to move it himself, but they will be soon. He smiles the whole time anyone walks him around.

A Newfound Tackiness

Last weekend I ventured out to OBI, which is similar to a Lowes or Home Depot. I was going to buy a vacuum bag and came out with a lot more than planned. I purchased lots of flowers for our patio. It was a VERY rainy Saturday afternoon; hardly anyone was out shopping, so I got an excellent selection of flowers :) To the point of my blog, we have 4 big pots for the flowers and needed extra soil. So we headed to the store only for me to stumble upon the "tacky" stuff that I have always known others to decorate their flowerbeds with. Maybe I am getting old, but I had to buy these figurines. They were just so tacky they were cute! I chuckle to myself each time I walk by them.....

Spring is officially here!

and.. that means Frühlingsfest...aka Spring Fest in Germany! Frühlingsfest is a big party celebrating spring. It is similar to Volksfest in the fall, just a little smaller. It is kinda like a really big county fair. They have all kinds of games, carnival rides, and of course very large beer tents. The fest kicked off this weekend and we had tickets to get in the beer tent. Man, the Germans know how to party! Dancing on tables, singing, you name it. We had a blast!
